What is your Return Policy?

At Motion Outfitters, we want every customer to shop with confidence. If something doesn’t go as planned, we’ve made returns and refunds simple and fair. Here’s how it works:

1. Return Window

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept returns after that time frame.

2. Who Pays for Return Shipping?

  • If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we’ll cover the return shipping cost.
  • If you’re returning an item because you changed your mind, you’ll be responsible for return shipping fees.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

Received something broken or not working properly? Contact us within 30 days. We’ll provide a prepaid return label and once the item is returned and inspected, we’ll issue either a full refund or a replacement—including any original shipping costs.

4. Changed Your Mind?

If you no longer want the item, you can return it within 30 days—as long as it's unused, in its original packaging, and in resellable condition. You’ll need to handle the return shipping, and once we receive and inspect it, we’ll refund the product cost (excluding shipping).

5. Refund Processing

Once we receive and approve your return, we’ll send a confirmation email and issue a refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. Please allow additional time for banks or credit card companies to process and reflect the refund.

If it’s been over 10 business days since your refund was approved and you still don’t see it, contact us at support@motionoutfitters.com and we’ll look into it immediately.

6. Restocking Fees

In some cases, a restocking fee may apply depending on the item and return reason. If applicable, we’ll clearly communicate this during your return request process.

Product Description

Built for family transportation, daily errands, and everything in between, the TARRAN L1 combines serious cargo capability with the ride quality and technology of a premium e-bike. A powerful 100 Nm mid-drive motor, removable 693 Wh battery, adjustable RiderFit cockpit, and integrated TarranOS touchscreen make the L1 equally at home on the school run, grocery trip, or weekend ride.

Choose between the L1m Manual, which pairs traditional 10-speed shifting with TARRAN's smart platform, or step up to the L1s Superior for automatic shifting, a low-maintenance belt drive, electric kickstand and dropper post, plus integrated rear-view camera and radar technology.

Powerful Mid-Drive Performance

At the heart of the L1 is a 100 Nm mid-drive motor designed for the additional demands of a cargo bike. A high-frequency torque sensor responds to your pedaling input for smooth, natural assistance, while Hill Assist and Walk Assist help make loaded trips easier to manage.

The removable 693 Wh battery uses Samsung cells and integrates into the frame. TARRAN also supports an optional second-battery setup and optional 48V/8A GaN fast charger for riders who want additional range and faster charging.

TARRAN's official model comparison identifies the L1s equipment above as standard while the corresponding electronic features and foot rests are upgrades on the L1m.  The U.S. manual specifies a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph.

Built to Carry More

The longtail L1 is designed around real everyday transportation. Its integrated rear rack supports up to 231 lb (105 kg), while the bike has a maximum gross vehicle weight of 474 lb (215 kg), including the bicycle, rider, accessories and cargo. The recommended rider height range is approximately 5'1"–6'5" (155–195 cm).

The rear rack is also MIK HD compatible, allowing approved child seats and accessories to be mounted to the bike.

With TARRAN's optional passenger and cargo accessories, the L1 can be configured for children, adult passengers, groceries, equipment and other everyday loads.

Smart Technology with TarranOS

A 5.2-inch touchscreen center display brings the L1's major functions together through TarranOS. Integrated connectivity supports navigation, over-the-air software updates, on-board diagnostics and TARRAN app integration.

Built-in anti-theft technology includes GPS location capabilities and Sentry Mode, which can detect suspicious movement while the bike is parked and trigger an audible alert.

Advanced Safety on the L1s

The L1s Superior adds TARRAN's Vision Unit, combining a rear-facing camera with mmWave radar. The rear-view feed can be displayed on the center screen, while radar helps detect approaching vehicles. The system also supports collision alerts and dashcam recording.

The L1s additionally includes rear turn signals, a reactive brake light and TARRAN's electric SyncStand system. The L1m can be upgraded with several of these features separately.

RiderFit Adjustability

The L1 is designed to work for riders across a broad height range. The RiderFit adjustable handlepost allows reach and height adjustment, while the seatpost differs by model: the L1m uses a lever-actuated dropper post and the L1s provides electronic seat-height adjustment.

Customize Your L1

TARRAN offers a modular accessory ecosystem for configuring the L1 around your needs. Compatible options include the Snap-n-Lock GuardRail, passenger cushions, MIK front rack, side panniers, additional battery, child-passenger equipment and other cargo accessories. The Snap-n-Lock GuardRail, for example, is designed specifically for the L1 Series and can convert between passenger-oriented and cargo configurations.
