What is your Return Policy?

At Motion Outfitters, we want every customer to shop with confidence. If something doesn’t go as planned, we’ve made returns and refunds simple and fair. Here’s how it works:

1. Return Window

You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept returns after that time frame.

2. Who Pays for Return Shipping?

  • If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we’ll cover the return shipping cost.
  • If you’re returning an item because you changed your mind, you’ll be responsible for return shipping fees.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

Received something broken or not working properly? Contact us within 30 days. We’ll provide a prepaid return label and once the item is returned and inspected, we’ll issue either a full refund or a replacement—including any original shipping costs.

4. Changed Your Mind?

If you no longer want the item, you can return it within 30 days—as long as it's unused, in its original packaging, and in resellable condition. You’ll need to handle the return shipping, and once we receive and inspect it, we’ll refund the product cost (excluding shipping).

5. Refund Processing

Once we receive and approve your return, we’ll send a confirmation email and issue a refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. Please allow additional time for banks or credit card companies to process and reflect the refund.

If it’s been over 10 business days since your refund was approved and you still don’t see it, contact us at support@motionoutfitters.com and we’ll look into it immediately.

6. Restocking Fees

In some cases, a restocking fee may apply depending on the item and return reason. If applicable, we’ll clearly communicate this during your return request process.

Product Description

The TARRAN L1m Manual combines the carrying capability of a longtail cargo bike with the familiar control of a traditional 10-speed drivetrain. Built for family transportation, grocery runs, commuting, and everyday errands, the L1m pairs a powerful mid-drive system with a high-capacity removable battery and TARRAN's integrated smart technology.

With an adjustable cockpit designed to accommodate riders from approximately 5'1" to 6'5", a substantial 474 lb maximum gross vehicle weight, and a modular cargo platform, the L1m is designed to adapt as your transportation needs change.

Powerful 100 Nm Mid-Drive Performance

At the heart of the L1m is TARRAN's 100 Nm mid-drive motor, providing strong, responsive assistance for loaded rides, hills, and everyday transportation.

The U.S. configuration provides pedal assistance up to 20 mph and is powered by a 693 Wh removable battery. The battery can be charged either installed in the bike or removed for convenient indoor charging.

MicroSHIFT 10-Speed Drivetrain

The L1m uses a MicroSHIFT ADVENT X 10-speed drivetrain, giving riders direct manual control over gearing.

Shift into an easier gear for hills and heavier loads or select a higher gear for cruising on flatter terrain. It's a straightforward mechanical system for riders who prefer conventional bicycle shifting.

Hydraulic 4-Piston Braking

The L1m is equipped with Tektro hydraulic 4-piston brakes, providing strong braking performance for a cargo bike designed to carry substantially more weight than a conventional bicycle.

Integrated front and rear/brake lighting further supports everyday visibility.

TarranOS Smart Display

A centrally mounted 5.2-inch TarranOS TFT touchscreen display puts riding information and connected features directly in front of the rider.

When paired with the TARRAN App, supported functions include Remote Lock/Unlock, Find My Bike, Mark as Lost, Ride History, and over-the-air firmware updates.

RiderFit Adjustable Cockpit

The L1m's RiderFit adjustable handlepost allows the riding position to be adapted to different riders. The handlepost offers multiple angle positions, while the handlebar height can also be adjusted.

Combined with the adjustable seatpost, the L1 platform is designed for riders approximately 5'1"–6'5" (155–195 cm).

Lever-Actuated Dropper Post

The L1m features a lever-actuated dropper post, allowing the saddle height to be quickly adjusted for different riders or riding situations.

E-Lock Kickstand

TARRAN's E-lock kickstand provides a stable parking platform for loading cargo or passengers. The stand can be electronically unlocked from the controller before being retracted for riding.

Built for Serious Cargo Capacity

The L1 platform is designed around everyday cargo and passenger transportation.

The rear cargo platform uses an MIK HD-compatible interface, allowing compatible cargo and passenger accessories to be added depending on your needs.

The L1 can be configured for family transportation, shopping, commuting, cargo hauling, and other everyday uses with compatible TARRAN accessories.

Available accessories include passenger seating solutions, cargo bags, panniers, front-rack equipment, guardrails, additional battery options and other L1-compatible equipment.
